While academics has definitely played a key role in my time at the University of Michigan, I have always felt that it was my experiences outside of the classroom that really impacted me as a young adult. I have been involved in several student organizations, held leadership positions, volunteered within the community and--of course--attended as many sporting events as possible. I believe that these experiences will last as some of my most meaningful and that university resources often sell these opportunities short of what they offer. While many university resources encourage students to seeks these opportunities out, I think the student advice provides more information as to why these opportunities are so incredibly important.
